What ReeseDesk is
ReeseDesk is software that you configure and control. It connects to a brokerage account you authorize, and runs a rule-based agent within limits you set. It is not a broker-dealer, is not registered as an investment adviser, and does not provide investment advice or recommendations. You choose the strategy, the symbols, and the limits; the software executes them.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must be legally able to trade in the markets and instruments you connect ReeseDesk to, and you're responsible for complying with any laws or brokerage agreements that apply to you.
Brokerage connections
You connect your own brokerage account through SnapTrade's hosted authentication flow. We never receive your brokerage password. Disconnecting a brokerage account stops the agent from acting — it does not close or sell any existing position, and any open positions remain under your control in your brokerage account.
Risk
Trading involves risk, including the risk of losing money. Automated strategies can lose money, and past performance — backtested or live — does not predict future results. Many automated strategies underperform simply holding a broad index fund. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and use paper mode until you understand how an agent behaves.
Risk limits you configure (position size, daily loss, symbol allowlist, and similar) are enforced by the software as configured, but no limit can eliminate the possibility of loss, and software can contain bugs, experience outages, or be affected by circumstances outside our control, including brokerage or market outages.
Live trading
Switching an agent to live trading is a deliberate action gated behind explicit confirmation. Once live, the agent may place real orders in your brokerage account within the limits you've set, during market hours, without further manual approval of each order. You can pause an agent or switch it back to paper mode at any time; doing so does not close any position already open.
Fees
We charge for use of the software according to the plan you select. We do not take a percentage of your trades and do not hold or have access to your trading funds, which remain in your brokerage account at all times.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use ReeseDesk to violate any law or your brokerage agreement, to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service, or to use it on behalf of an account you are not authorized to trade.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
ReeseDesk is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including losses caused by software errors, outages, or brokerage or market conditions.
Termination
You may stop using ReeseDesk and disconnect your brokerage account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or for activity that puts the platform or other users at risk.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ReeseDesk after a change means you accept the updated terms.
