Frequently asked questions.

What is ReeseDesk?

Software that trades your brokerage account automatically, but only inside limits you set. You choose the rules; it executes them and shows you every decision it made.

Is this a robo-advisor?

No. A robo-advisor decides what you should own. ReeseDesk doesn't recommend anything — you choose the strategy and the limits, and the software executes them. It's a tool, not an advisor.

Do you hold my money?

No. Your money stays in your brokerage account the whole time. We never take custody, and we never take a percentage of your trades. You pay for the software.

Do you see my brokerage password?

No. You authenticate through your broker's own login page. We receive permission to read the account and place orders — never your credentials. You can disconnect at any time.

Will it make me money?

We can't promise that, and you should be skeptical of anyone who does. Automated strategies can and do lose money, and many underperform simply buying a broad index fund and holding it. That's why every account starts on paper, and why we show your agent's performance next to what holding the same assets would have returned. If it's losing to the benchmark, you'll see it.

What can it trade?

US stocks, ETFs, and bond ETFs, depending on what your brokerage supports. Options are available if your broker has approved your account for them.

What if it does something I don't want?

It can't exceed the limits you've set — that's the design. You can also pause it or switch it back to paper at any time, in one click. Pausing doesn't sell anything; your positions stay in your account.

What happens if I cancel?

Your agents stop trading. Your positions stay exactly where they are, in your brokerage account, under your control.

Which brokerages are supported?

Support varies by brokerage and country, and some connections are read-only — meaning we can show your account but not place orders. You'll see exactly what your account supports before you subscribe.

Who is this for?

People who want to automate a strategy they've already thought about, and who want to see what the automation is doing. If you don't have a strategy yet, start with paper mode and the benchmark comparison.

Who is this not for?

Anyone looking for signals, tips, or a system that decides for them. We deliberately don't do that.

What this is, plainly.

ReeseDesk is software you configure and control. It is not investment advice, and we don't recommend what to buy. You choose the symbols, the strategy, and the limits; the agent executes them.

Automated strategies can lose money, and many lose to simply holding a broad index fund. Past results backtested or live don't predict future ones. Only use money you can afford to lose, and start on paper.
